Samoens is 8-9 hrs drive away from Calais etc with motorway all the way to the last 12 miles. Flights to Geneva from many places in the U.K. Geneva is an 40 min easy drive away. Car hire from Geneva airport.

There is a free ski bus stopping within yards, taking you to the new Grand Massif lift where a vast ski domain opens out. Linked directly to the Grand Massif there are 270 km of ski runs extending to an altitude of 2470 metres.

Samoens is a French Alpine village that has kept its rural charm and yet offers all the activities for a great modern day family holiday. Every Wednesday, winter and summer, practise your French in the fascinating market that visits Samoens or just take in the local shops, bars and restaurants.

In summer 4 lifts in the mountains provide 200km of way marked mountain bike trails in the immediate vicinity and another 400km spread around the mountains. Walking is stunning either on your own or with a mountain guide who will show you the very best.

There are great day nurseries and a friendly ski school, starting with kindergarten, in a safe area on the mountains. The children will love the pony and cart rides around the village and the septi train , which runs all the year round. In the summer there is a Carousel in the market square, and to cool down, large outdoor swimming pools. A lovely park with lakes and junior climbing in the trees is situated near to the swimming pool area.
